The best sections of the Camí de Cavalls gathered in a selection of 7 stages. A route that will allow you to discover the most emblematic sites of this path, as well as some of the most spectacular landscapes of Menorca. A balanced route of four stages in the north and three in the south, enjoying the different places that the two areas of Menorca offer us. PROGRAMME
Night before
- Overnight stay in Maó before the first stage.
Stage 1. Sa Mesquida – Favàritx: 15 km | 320 m
- Walk along a multitude of small coves and through the s’Albufera des Grau Natural Park, one of Menorca’s most important natural areas.
- Transfer to the start of the stage from Maó.
- Transfer from the end of the stage and overnight stay in Ferreries or Ses Salines de Fornells, depending on the time of year.
Stage 2. Ses Salines de Fornells – Binimel·là: 10.9 km | 160 m
- Follow the northern coastline along one of the most spectacular sections of the Camí de Cavalls. You’ll pass Macar Gran and Cavalleria, among others.
- Transfer to the start of the stage from Ferreries, depending on the time of year.
- Transfer from the end of the stage and overnight stay in Ferreries or Ses Salines de Fornells, depending on the time of year.
Stage 3. Binimel·là – Camí des Alocs: 10.8 km | 469 m
- What is known as the most demanding section of the Camí de Cavalls also offers some of the island’s most beautiful scenery, passing coves as iconic as Pregonda and secluded ones such as Cala en Calderer.
- Transfer to the start of the stage from Ferreries or Ses Salines de Fornells, depending on the time of year.
- Transfer from the end of the stage and overnight stay in Ferreries.
Stage 4. Camí des Alocs – Cala Morell: 17 km | 278 m
- Unspoilt coves, woodland areas, farmland and cliffs. A stage with striking landscape contrasts, ending at the Cala Morell Necropolis.
- Transfer to the start of the stage from Ferreries.
- Transfer from the end of the stage and overnight stay in Ciutadella.
Stage 5. Cap d’Artrutx – Cala Galdana: 17.3 km | 161 m
- The first stage along the south will take you past coves as iconic as Son Saura, Cala en Turqueta and Macarella.
- Transfer to the start of the stage from Ciutadella.
- Overnight stay in Cala Galdana, or transfer from the end of the stage and overnight stay in Ferreries, depending on the time of year.
Stage 6. Cala Galdana – Son Bou: 17.2 km | 236 m
- Woods, ravines and white-sand coves. This stage lets you enjoy southern Menorca at its very best.
- Transfer to the start of the stage from Ferreries, depending on the time of year.
- Overnight stay in Son Bou, or transfer from the end of the stage and overnight stay in Ferreries, depending on the time of year.
Stage 7. Son Bou – Es Canutells: 15 km | 270 m
- Discover some of the main ravines in southern Menorca: Llucalari, Cala en Porter and Calescoves.
- Transfer to the start of the stage from Ferreries, depending on the time of year.
- Transfer from the end of the stage and overnight stay in Maó.
